THE LIVING WORDS OF CHRIST, THE PSALMS OF MY LIFE

GOD'S LIVING WORD FOR TODAY

Ephesians 6:10-17 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his
mighty power. Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand
against the devil's schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood,
but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark
world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full
armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and
after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of
truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place,
and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace.
In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can
extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of
the Spirit, which is the word of God.

PSALMS OF JOY CHAPTER 98

1.  Lord I imagine those who look through the windows
of their homes, "what do they see"?  More than I can
imagine... what their heart sees through the windows of
their eyes.  That spirit bound by flesh and blood.

2.  That one who sees the sunshine, even when it rains
or that one who sees a world full of sorrow and pain.
Heap upon heap of human brawl, and some my dear Lord
see nothing at all.

3.  Lord of my spirit,  let my heart see that Love has a
way of setting us free.  All things, you've promised, will
turn out for good to those who love you, to those who should?

4.  Today as I sit here and watch the rain. Falling down softly
on window pane.  I wonder sometimes, when inside me, the
tempests rage, but not in the tree.

5.  All this and more,  I praise you my Lord
I place on the alter,  I trust in your Word
I praise you for what faith sees, and when I am blind
come Holy Spirit and speak to my mind

6.  Songs I will sing to the rhythm of rain
praise as it runs down my window pane.
